Disc Golf

Frisbee meets fairway. Throw a disc into a chain basket in the fewest throws.

How it's played

The rules

The objective

Throw a disc from a marked tee pad toward a metal basket. The hole is complete when the disc comes to rest inside the basket's chains.

Throw, lie, repeat

Your next throw starts from where the previous disc landed (the 'lie'). You may use any disc on any throw โ€” drivers for distance, mid-ranges for control, putters near the basket.

Penalties

Out-of-bounds, missed mandatories, and water hazards add one stroke. Disc must come to rest in the basket โ€” bounce-outs are replayed from the lie.

Etiquette

The player furthest from the basket throws first. Quiet during throws. Spotters help track flight on wooded courses.
