Foot Golf

A soccer ball, a golf course, and a 21-inch cup. Skill meets power.

How it's played

The rules

The objective

Kick a size-5 soccer ball from the tee box into a 21-inch (53 cm) cup in the fewest kicks. Played on a modified golf course with shorter holes.

Kick, lie, repeat

Your next kick starts from where the ball stops. You may not touch the ball with your hands except to mark or remove it from the cup. Standard golf etiquette applies.

Hazards and penalties

Water and out-of-bounds add one stroke and require replaying from the previous lie or a marked drop zone. Bunkers are played as they lie — no kicking the sand smooth first.

Distance and pace

Holes typically range 50 to 250 yards. A round usually takes 90 minutes for 18 holes — faster than golf, slower than soccer.
